i refuse to conform
i say eminem or jay-z

especially eminem

That's nonsense!
Go in and gaffle the money and run to one of your aunt's cribs
And borrow a damn dress, and one of her blonde wigs
Tell her you need a place to stay
You'll be safe for days if you shave your legs with Renee's razor blade

this dude made the first syllable in razor rhyme with place.
and he rhyme the syllables aunt wit blonde

Gotta throw Prodigy in there. Granted his slants start to reaching nonslant and nonrhyming proportions, but when when his slants go according to plan, he's pretty darn good.

Yeah his accent is what makes it work. Anybody else were to rhyme like that, we'd label them wack and call it a day. He's the only one I can think of that can actually make it sound kinda good. Sittin here right now listening to P Broke The Switch off of one of Alc's mixtapes.

"You don't wanna smoke with P, my weed smell like markers
I got that trauma, they call me,
Psychoboy, Queens New York, Brooklin and Bronx
That's where I stomp"

Absolutely none of that shyt rhymes, and even labelling it a slant is questionable, but he still sounds slick as hell especially behind Alchemist production.

well bronx and stomp rhyme they both have the same syllable sounds
and the way prodigy pronoucnes them makes them sound exactly alike.

you right, I meant that MArkers, Trauma, and call me. None of that rhymes, and its a questionable slant, but his accent makes it work somehow.

So in other words the lyrics are wack you just like the beat and the way his voice sounds over it.

LOL, it ain't wack though, and in harmony with this thread, he does have a slant. Questionable slant? Of course, but he makes it work somehow. He's still the posterboy for falling off considering how he used to spit, but he still puts out listenable music with slick wordplay.

well clearly none of that rhymes perfectly or even is a slant rhyme

in order for it to be slant rhyme they have to have the same syllable sounds

like in and it has the short i sound like and time has the long i sound

those are slant rhymes.
