What kind of high school did you go to, and what did your test scores/GPA look like?

Guess I'm kinda following up from that educational level thread I made a while back, but apparently like 80%+ of people in here have a Bachelor's degree or higher, and we got quite a few people with Master's Degrees too. Even a couple of Ivy Leaguers. So assuming people are being honest, we have a pretty academically talented crowd. I'm just curious to see what type of backgrounds people here have.

Personally I went to a public school, tho it was magnet school that you had to take a test to get in (I don't remember it being that hard tho).

But I didn't really care about grades in high school, I was too lazy to bother with work most of the time, I basically just did enough to pass.

Only graduated with a 2.9 GPA :sadcam:

No extracurriculars either. Made it into a decent school strictly off test scores...1300 SAT (when it was out of 1600) and high 20s (25 the first time, then 29 the second time) ACT. :whew:

Sucks tho...if I was less lazy and had bothered to keep my grades up, I probably could've gotten a scholarship and wouldn't be stuck paying these loans back.

I went to a top 10 public high school. I never went to school the second half of sophomore year and had a 0 gpa for that half of the year. I ruined an easy shot at the ivies. I had a 3.8 or higher unweighted junior year, and a 4.0 senior year.

I had a 720 writing, 700 reading, 730 math :ehh:

I got into UCSB and UCLA with no financial aid, went to a big state school in ny with a scholarship instead :dj2:

My mom had a 1600 SAT and got pregnant :snoop:

went to Von Stuben in Chicago for two years before transferring out to a suburban HS... had like a 3.5 in honors courses but I never really took my classes seriously... never took the SAT, but got a 27 on my ACT. Woulda been higher but I fukked up on the science part of it cuz I dont give a fukk about reading maps... also kicked it hard the night before lol

I graduated High School in Hawaii. The place was so chill I just chilled through out.

I sometimes wonder if my father wasn't stationed there and stayed in Georgia I probably would've done better, the difference in the faculty/student interaction was unexpected. Oh well.

Also my lack of motivation had a huge role in my performance.
