What is your thoughts on the idea of certain artists would be more successful in a different era?

Like I’ve heard people claim that certain artists who flop today would be stars if you transported them back to let’s say 2002. Or artists who were not big 25 years ago would be major players today.

Do you think that’s mostly or is there any artist who comes to mind you can make these cases for

In some cases it would be true. It just depends on the style and sound.

Like, I could see some female rappers from 25 years ago who weren't huge being a big deal now i.e. Sole and maybe Cha Cha.
