I almost always sample Soul records cause thats just the sound i love.
But i really like to use Electric Pianos on top of it. I'm a big fan of the Lounge Lizard EP-4 plugin.
I really like Sytrus in FL Studio for Strings.
I like Albino 3 for Pads.
I use a lot of stock FL Studio plugins cause they light on CPU.

I get tired of cracking all these synths on the internet. I just wish i had them all witouth all the downloading. There's just too many of them.
i feel you on that that why i stick to and whatever NI instruments i got

And i don't feel like buying my soft synths cause the prices on those pieces of software are simply just not affordable for most amateur hobbyists.

No, right now i just work with what i have.
But downloading soft-synths seems like an endless task to do.

I still need to get Nexus. Heard people say it's 1 of the best soft-synths ever.
My favorite is probably Albino with all presets i've downloaded for it. I had it for about 8 years i think.

I think nexus 2 is played out in 2018 even i Doe i have almost 1000 expansion pack for it . Kontakt 5 and Omnisphere 2 is the way to go for realistic and modern sound There is endless expansion pack for Kontakt 5 so this vst might be the goat for the next year To come
