What is worse: face being forced to be a heel or heel being forced to be face?

What's worse: a true heel being forced to be face or a true face being forced to be heel?

Surprised this thread wasn't created yet on this post, but IMO, a face that people love being forced into being a heel us worse. Thing that stands out to me is Sting in WCW and TNA being forced into being a heel and both crowds no selling it.
