What is the show Mad Men about?

I've been told its a good show. What's it about?

Are they still making new seasons or has the show finished already?

Mad Men takes place during the 1960's. Mad is short for Madison, and the show revolves arounda major advertising firm which is on Madison Ave where a lot of those firms started up back in the day.

Main character is Don Draper who is that ddude but has his own demons, as do the people that he works with.

You get to see a pretty accurate description of how life was in the 60's (women not getting respect, dudes drinking and smoking in the office, world events like JFK getting shot, the Cuban Missile Crisis, etc.) and the effects of these things on the characters lives and shyt. It's Top 5 on TV right now but you need to have patience and pay attention. There's no shoot outs or wild shyt, it's character driven drama.

Sounds interesting. From the adverts I've seen I thought it was some kind of gangster show or police drama.

There's another season coming. Will probably be its last though because people are leaving and the popularity is waning.

I feel like the show takes it self seriously and most people aren't trying to do too much thinking for a TV show so...take that how you want it.

It's a character driven show like I said...you need to pay attention to things or you'll just stop giving a fukk or do what a lot of people on here do, say it's wack because you don't "get" it.

I watched 6 eps and wasnt feeling it, but i guess i could see the appeal to it. just dont watch it expecting piff like you would with breaking bad or the wire

one of my fav shows ever. dont expect it to draw u in immediately a la Breaking Bad. like dude said it is a character driven drama with excellent writing. but its def not for everybody. u may not really feel attached to these characters til like the 8th episode. so if patience isnt your thing....

and i believe i read somewhere that the show signed on to do at least 2 more seasons....

i really hope this doesnt turn into a huge Mad Men debate. those who love it vs those who hate it.

ITS NOT FOR EVERYBODY.... (but there is a reason it won outstanding drama 4 years in a row... )

Am serious is a soap opera, if ur a female and you like soap opera them you will enjoy this show
