What is the criteria for a album to be considered a HipHop Classic?

Hip Hop has to accept it as such. Really as simple as that which is why it usually takes so long. An album needs a chance to be forgotten before it can be classic. If it's never forgotten, by hip hop at large, years down the line and still held in high esteem it can be classic. That's why I don't even bug when stans try and force the classic label on an album. Time will always tell, not effort.

If you can listen to the whole album without skipping anything 10 years after it drops and it doesn't sound dated that's a great start
