If you're in litigation, you're sitting behind a desk researching and writing motions/memos/briefs/etc all day. You go to court every so often, some more than others. I used to go a couple of times a week, but for just a short case management conference with the judge. Trial prep you're working the entire day getting ready and barely sleep. I've had one trial and it was cool, nothing that would look good on TV. If you do transaction work, you never go to court and work on doing business deals and shyt and nothing about that looks like one would look on TV. But I mostly sit behind my desk for 8 plus hours writing shyt all day if I'm not in court.TV & Movies makes that shyt look too lit

Nah, I enjoy what I do. But it's like a lot of other desk jobs. I like litigation more because I get out of the office more than a transaction attorney, so I'm not confined to my desk every hour every day. But I always tell people considering going into law, if you don't like (or at least can deal with) reading and writing a lot, you won't like being an attorney at all. That sounds horrible. Do you regret picking that as a career?
That shyt do be looking dope on TV though, they be arguing in court making people look dumb then go have a drink afterwards
Reading this thread I had no idea it was that much paperwork and they were confined to a desk for that long
