What if WB used the Elfman score again for Batman?

While I don't doubt that some of you have an affinity for the Nolan score, there is no denying that the theme first heard in the Burton Batman movie is THEE Batman theme. It's also the theme you hear during the opening intro of Batman: TAS.

It is music that when played, the audience universally thinks "Batman".

James Bond has had the same theme for 50 years, so if Bond can have a main theme that spans generations I don't see why Batman can't have one as well.

I mean yea I could understand why some people would prefer something different for each new film iteration, but I just can't imagine the Elfman theme ever being topped. It would be like trying to write a new theme for Star Wars, it doesn't need one. Perfection has already been achieved.

The Batman film franchise hasn't capitalized on nostalgia yet, so something like this would go a long way in recapturing that magical feeling so many people associate with the character. I mean who wouldn't be totally psyched to hear this music in a trailer again? Could you imagine how it would sound updated and set to modern day visuals... with the bat-logo appearing on screen at the end?

:ahh:

No composer be it in the future Batman movies will match that theme. It is perfect for the character.
