Boxing used to have unlimited rounds back in the 1900s. Matter of fact, Jack Johnson was known for fighting unlimited rounds

Not directing this to OP in particular, but after the shytfest of "Greatest fight of the Century" and a bunch of sour grapes afterwards, I keep hearing people bring up this idea of just letting the guys slug each other in the head until the other falls. Why?

In the case of the May-PAc fight all that would of ended up happening is that fight going on for 2 hours or some shyt. You already think its boring why would you want to see it go on even longer?

The OP said no judges not referees. So a ref could still stop the fight if a fighter was taking to much punishment. And if it went the full 12 rounds either let the ref judge it or the crowd. The crowd might not be a good idea though. Cause if they had control Floyd would probably be 0-48 instead of the other way around.

i remember watching some shyt on fox sports a long time ago about the greatest fight ever that went like 50 rounds and had like 40 knockdowns..shyt was untelevised of course cause it was a old 1900s fight so they reenacted it..shyt was captivating even without real footage


wish i could find it again..
