You're not gonna have a great success mimicking 90s ECW in todays era. There are families coming to watch the show, they want to see great storylines and great technical matches. Cheap hookers and extreme barbed wire matches is a niche. It worked in the 90s for a smaller group of fans, it's not gonna work today. There is a reason why ECW did not exist for that long. If you overwhelm the audience with bunch of extreme hardcore matches, where do you go from there? How do you build up to something else? And I enjoy a lot of them classic ECW matches too and ECW had some really great talent.
