Essentially. That's why older women and men who make a little bread or established date people younger or not as established. There's no reason to adapt or compromise when you have the leverage in the situation. But dating someone that's on your same playing means that you'll have to bend and adjust to make the situation work. Most people set in their ways refuse to do that. So they choose the most comfortable situation for their ego.
