What happened to the dumb comedy movies?

I know those movies made money, and the budgets were often low. Judd Apatow films, remember him? Or Will Ferrell movies? Etc.

They're not even going straight to Netflix or Hulu.

Seriously, look at the popularity of comedians on Instagram. There's still a huge market for this.

Some of is it due to political correctness, but it also became too repetitive as a comedy subgenre. At some point, white guys telling dikk and shyt jokes got old and uncreative. I watched Knocked Up the other day and some of that shyt didn't age well.
