Kenta never had a chance to begin with. For starters, he was never going to be able to do the shyt that made him popular in the first place (ultra stiff work). Then his big signing/debut was IMMEDIATELY overshadowed by Balor's, and instead of doing the obvious angle of Itami getting jealous and beating the shyt out of Balor at some point, they instead did their respectful partners deal where Itami was definitely the second of the team. Then the injuries piling up as soon as they start to give him a bigger spot, then putting him on 205 where no one sees him anyway.
It's been no doubt a disappointing run for both sides and I'm surprised there hasn't been a mutual release. Although idk what he has to go back to in Japan. NOAH is...NOAH, he probably doesn't have a spot in NJ and his body isn't getting any less beaten up.
