He had some flame behind him on the RAW after WM. Now I'm back to not caring.

Natural talker, can put on a good match, and actually proved he was worth a damn when he was given a chance.

He's just gotta get over those injuries.

He was carrying the WWE quite well in 2010 when he was pushed and was in main events and with those the crowd cared for. His mic skills are 100% legit and he's not bad in brawling matches. He'll be alright when they stop that halfway pushing shyt with him. With Punk, they did everything in their power to make sure he didn't lose and took care of his heel turn..mostly because of the Rock's upcoming reign but still they protected him. Wade doesn't get those favors. Nor does Cesaro.

There is none, any clowns still repping him are just goof's trying to save face at this point

Cripple H, your self appointed savior, loves him. Brings him up every time he even mentions anything outside of the main event and who who will be big stars coming up.

That doesn't really count tho. He was over huge because of two factors

1. That crowd was filled with European fans

2. The post-Wm jersey crowd hated Miz something fierce that night.

It wasn't really about Barrett. He won't get that type of reaction until the next European tour.

Barrett isn't terrible but other than his mind blowingly Overrated run in Nexus in 2010. He just never seems to be anything special either.

He LOST the moment CM Punk owned him and took over Nexus, never got any revenge and watched the Corre  turn into nothing.

He and Kofi are just treadmill status at this moment.

He needs to run with the moniker of "Boss" Barrett and always keep a crew running with him...his leadership should be his strong suit due to his way of words and powerful voice

Having him by himself makes no sense considering how he came onto fame with the Nexus, but WWE booking can destroy anybody :wow:

Now he's in the wasteland

I thought he was the goods when he first debuted but I have slowly become turned off by him. I don't see him as a big deal but maybe he can get back to that level. The last time I really remember him being interesting was when he through Orton down the steps.

His mic work is top notch, ain't his fault he doesn't get anything interesting to say :manny:
Trust me, the reason why people don't connect with half of these wrestlers is because the WWE doesn't invest time in them. 70% of the guys on the main roster right now could be champions and I mean that.

he is better than a lot of those other nikkaz on the mic and in the ring.

plus i like his finisher ... always a fan of strike finishers because a properly delivered elbow strike can actually knock you to bolivia in real life. :patrice:

The mic work and the persona are all there for him, and have been pretty much since the beginning.

He's a bit of a work in progress in the ring, but he's good enough and can put on good matches when needed (his stuff with Orton is always at least decent, and his match against Miz after WrestleMania is the type of match that midcarders need at a WrestleMania: 10-15 minutes, let the workers build to something). I think that he can get better if put in a position to do so.

That elbow dislocation killed him though. He was set to win MITB and hopefully make a leap to the main event, but he got that injury in February and it destroyed his momentum. The vignettes they made to reintroduce him were great, but then they brought him back in a series of heat-killing squash matches (Tensai got the same stupid treatment; it's as if they couldn't apply the principles that worked with Ryback to everyone), which was followed by proceeding to do nothing with him (getting the IC Belt doesn't count. He's barely been on TV).

Really, I still think he has a lot of potential and age hasn't passed him by yet (He's only 32, which means he still has a bit of a window to get better), but the way that he's been handled has been poor at best since SummerSlam 2010, and outright awful since his return to TV on 2012. He needs to fix his moveset a bit and get better gear, yes. But I've gotta pin the bulk of this on WWE. They need to position him better.

Yeah, but the way that he throws it is horrible though. Especially if you've seen Chris Hero throw worked elbow strikes (it helps that Hero has some boxing training).

I actually liked the ripcord version better than the stupid running version that he has now, which completely exposes that he doesn't know how to throw an elbow.

But, then again, anything is better than Wasteland. :scusthov:
