Till this day, we do not know much about their history. we have some information but i rarely see any conversation on this site. i believe they were hunters/fighters where as some scholars would like to believe they were not warriors.

Indus Valley Civilisation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

they seem really peacefully until something happened to them. the Indus Civilisation collapse was caused by the invasion of an Indo-European tribe from Central Asia called the "Aryans" but do you agree with this theory?

side note: if you have interesting pictures or media videos or even articles, feel free to post here.

All my world civilizations classes puts the Indus on a pedestal. On some

"Civilization spread throughout the world beginning in the middle east"

Just wanted to know your opinion when you come across people who go hard for that theory.

1. Indus Valley was in India which is South Asia and not the Middle East

2. More importantly I think you're getting Mesopotamia mixed up with Indus Valley.

Civilization either developed in Africa with Ancient Egypt or the Middle East with Mesopotamia. There are VERY GOOD arguments from both parties, especially those for Mesopotamia. We have to understand that the Middle East is basically a cross road and ideas are likely to wind up there. This is good for a foundation of a civilization.

However, I personally believe civilization started in the Nile Valley. To me an established civilization begins once a Kingdom/Dynasty or Republic is established. In that definition from all evidence I've seen so far Ancient Egypt not only predates Sumer but all other established civilizations. Pre-dynastic Egypt had that way before Pharaoh Narmer and Sumer which was established 4000 BC. Plus if I remember correctly Ancient Egyptian writing is older than that of Sumer.

IVC, Egypt, and Mesopotamia were contemporaries, it's fruitless to debate about who was first. China gets slept on too, Chinese culture is every bit as ancient as those three.
