A lot of fighters have been complaining saying they would've made way more from their original sponsors. Under this deal they won't be able to wear any other brands beside Reebok during fight week and the day of the fight. I'm still on the fence about it but I think it's gonna be dope to cop some of my favorite fighters' jerseys. :takedat:

Here's how much they're gonna get paid (allegedly).

From what I've heard and read it was Swizz Beatz that played a major role to make the deal.

Terrible deal for the fighters.

2,500 is actually decent for a fighter under 5 fights and has no sponsors at all. I don't know how much sponsors usually give these guys but, if im someone under 5 fights and can get 2-3x that reebok money from another sponsor then it's fukked up imo.

i remember rampage saying how some company was gonna give him 750K to sponsor him and dana shut that shyt down :dead: shyt like that i don't like, how u gonna stop another man from getting money because the sponsor aint paying you. shyt is ridiculous.

it's BS and a dumb move by the UFC imo.

because now others organizations (Bellator in paticular) are gonna be able to outpay the ufc on lower level guys without actually having to outpay them. They can just pay them the same, and then the fact that they let them have sponsorships will push them past the ufc pay

We'll be ablee to look back one day and see all the moves the UFC is doing now and see why they lost the top spot.

or they might keep the top spot, but other organizations will creep up on them, it will be more lke boxing with many organizations all claiming

fighters got fukked over big time, alot of fighters dont have 10 fights with this company

i wanna know is how reebok got soo much power to say 'no other sponsorships in this deal"

From what I gather, they can have other sponsor but they're limited to what they can wear around the time of the fight. I'm pretty sure they can still make money off those banners they put up before the fight.

Fight week (the time where pretty much every fighter makes all their sponsorship money) is all Reebok. So no banners with other sponsors.

I did some quick math and seems like UFC would have around $900k of Reebok money each month to spread around. Even at 2 events per month, they're not spending more than $500k of that. So with the remaining $400k I'm assuming they can use that for bonuses like FOTN, SOTN, etc? So Reebok basically foots the bill for everything except fighter pay. I take it the UFC wasn't getting much from sponsor fees anyway. Make sense for Dana and Fertittas I guess. And I suppose its good for any fighter that cannot get any type of sponsorship on their own?

1950's black musician label deals is what I think! This is such BS and one of the reasons I do not like Dana. UFC treats its fighters like slaves. MMA needs to become more open like boxing.

And yet some of these MMA fans think UFC will overtake boxing.:heh:
