I'm a Friday Night Lights fan so he'll always be Landry aka Lance to me. But I thought he was great in Judas and the Black Messiah. He added some complexity to what could've easily been a very simplistic and one-note character.

His performances aren't showy enough to be Hoffman. Only similarity is appearance.

But yeah Landry is GOATed. 2x emmy nominee, oscar hopeful for that Kaufman Netflix movie. One of the best character actors working today.

No doubt, it just seems like he resembles a young Philip Seymour Hoffman the more he ages. Funnily enough, he played PSH's son in The Master so Paul Thomas Anderson picked up on this wayyyy before I did.
