Stock broker and philosopher, exposure to the truth killed the stock broker dream, I'd still love to study philosophy just not traditional western philosophy

I used to want to be an astronaut. I even became an Aerospace Engineering major in college and was on the cusp of joining the Air Force ROTC so I could become a fighter pilot and gain the credibility needed to join the space program. Then President Bush got reelected back on 2004, and I was not going to cosign with the war that he started. If I knew it was going to be Obama as President later on... I would have proudly served. 
However, I do like the fact that I'm about to be an attorney soon. I used to want to be a judge because I was a fan of Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
Life doesn't turn out the way you want it to a lot of the time, but just because you might have deferred one dream for another, that doesn't mean that you can't find happiness. Even people that become President of the United States say that their children are what make their lives. Others end up falling in love with the careers that they just kinda happen to fall into. Other people wind up being happy by cultivating a social and family life outside of their careers in order to have an enriching life experience through the collective wisdom of their friends and family.
There's a lot of ways to be happy. There's no absolute need for it to come from a childhood dream.
