What characteristics define the 00s?

I feel like every other decade has a distinct personality and flair to it, while the 2000s just felt like a bland and confused extension of the 90s up until maybe 07/08. Only thing that stood out is the Internet boom that occurred last decade but meh.

Even the 2010s has more personality with the fashion ninjas and futuristic self-indulgent instagram pictures. I can't see people looking back and making era films about the 2000s. It doesn't seem to have any identity.

What to you defined the 2000s?

The 2000's were pretty much the 80s. Crazy shyt is the styles of say 00-03 are way different than the styles of 07-09.
