What can be done to save nursing homes

I know I won't get serious answers in TLR.
But being an agency nurse,I go different places and it's pretty much the same. Conditions are poor, supplies are almost non-existent, prisons are more well kept. Why hasn't this been addressed?

People don’t care about seniors until they’re seniors. The problem seniors and elder care is facing is just like so many other issues in this damn country, lack of funding. It’s annoying as hell since the solutions are easy.

Pretty much. It’s an issue of American philosophy. If it was incredibly lucrative to solve the problem you’d have endless people lining up. Basing life on profit margins comes with callous and inhumane results.

For one, Bernie’s infrastructure bill needs to pass. It sets the precedent for elderly care and enacts free universal preschool

But the Republicans and new-dems specifically Manchin won’t let that happen.

Y’all keep the surface level politics tho. Everything is already on the table, but the politicians you allow to lie to you will never let the bills see the light of day.

And would rather take year-long recesses on your dollar.
