u ain't seen many sports movies I take it.
Vanderbilt SS who gets declared ineligible for baseball because his ex-girlfriend who he was still in love with plagiarized her part of a group assignment. He is the only one who got caught, her and her new boyfriend didn't His nerd roommate finds a loophole that says he is only ineligible for baseball ........ but not HOCKEY. Joins the team, really reluctant at first but he needs to play because he needs to stay in school because he made a promise to his dying grandfather (Grant Fuhr cameo). Ends up scoring three goals a game, takes over first line rw from his ex girls new man, records him in a racist rant admitting to plagiarizing the group assignment. Team makes it to the frozen four on Jaden's shoulders. They don't win, but he gets noticed. Gets drafted.
