speaking of nexus 2, has anyone ever gotten any weird error (i can't remember what it is exactly, something about bit point or some shyt) that has basically hi-jacked your session and you're unable to click on ANYTHING? i haven't used it for a while now cuz i kept having that problem. but for a couple months that kept coming up and ruining stuff for me. i just tried opening up a project with nexus in it and played around for a while hoping to get the error again so i could give better info but i can't seem to get the same problem lol...it just sort of randomly happens i guess. so, obviously that was a vague as hell description of the issue but if anyone has any idea of what i'm talking about... 
as far as the thread goes, if we're talking about soft synths...trillian, massive, u-he ace, rob papen blue, arturia jupiter...yeah, those i'm feeling the most right now.
trillian is an absolute mainstay (it actually uses samples as far as the real instruments go, so maybe it doesn't count for this conversation) but all the other choices can change with the wind. there's sooooo many amazing plugins out there...serum, sylenth, gladiator, pretty much all of rop papen's stuff, dune, zebra, etc. shyt goes on and on.
