I'm not talking about any time period specific like African American history. I'm talking about from Africa to Haiti to wherever. Any recommended books? If there is a thread on this already point me to it because I couldn't find one.

Anybody read The Lost Cities of Africa" by Basil Davidson? I've skimmed through it a bit, but it usually sits on my desk at work (know general bits and pieces anyway). Another book I've actually read was Chancellor Williams' "Destruction of Black Civilization: Great Issues of a Race from 4500 B.C. to 2000 A.D."

There's tons of material out there I'm not thinking of...:whoa:
