What are some good programs to convert video files to MP4

Mp4 seems to be the only format that my tv never has an issue playing. Wanted to turn wmvs and some Flvs into mp4s

This mediacoder sh1t is slow as fukk.Format Factory has audio out of sync.

I'll try this.

Do I need to change fps and bit rate and all that sh1t or will it automatically read the original file and copy its specs?

Ive had issues with audio sync yo vid with other programs.

Hand Brake is the easiest. I also used to use XviD4PSP 5 to convert avi to mp4, and MKVtoolnix/MKVmerge to convert any format to MKV. Had really good results with MKVtoolnix for removing unwanted audio/language/subtitle streams in MKVs
