Tha Walk In on Carter 1 is one of the GOATish intros ever.. i won’t argue about it :manny:

"Name Tag" leading into "Step in the Arena." An elegant, beautiful intro that just has Guru saying "The DJ's name is Premier, and I'm the Guru." It felt like not only an introduction to one of the GOAT rap albums, but to Gang Starr as a whole.

Then at the end, the crowd cheers, and someone says "Will you please take your seats, and clear the aisle?" It actually sounds like people are sitting down getting ready for an old-school show, a kind of entertainment that no longer exists but Guru and Premier are trying to bring back.

And then the "Step in the Arena" beat drops. :wow:
