Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Doesn't matter people still wouldn't know what Kam I'm talking about. You giving niiggas on here too much credit.
Maybe so. I'ma let you cook, though. I ain't tryna be petty and distract from the topic at hand. This is an appreciation thread for someone who is overlooked and underrated. The coli introduced me to Kam. :blessed: Still ain't listened to a full album but I've checked out some of his videos.

Not really. He wasn't ever signed to real major label just subsidiaries who had distribution deals with majors and back then you wasn't getting no push like that unless you had major dollars behind you.

No he's not "underrated", everybody knows he's a beast.

And like I said, he's had plenty of looks:

- he was on what many call the greatest West Coast album of all-time
- he was joined at the hip with DJ Pooh for many years
- he was on the Friday soundtrack
- Snoop Dogg stayed keepin' him on projects

...but he don't play the game.
- you ain't gonna go far in the West Coast rap game if you on songs dissin' Cube and Dr. Dre
- he been rappin' for more than 20 years and only dropped 4 albums

To paraphrase Jayo Felony: they could give this "push" to him, but what he gonna do with it?

Fair points. I guess I'm looking at it from a the perspective that no label ever fully got behind him.

Be the grown man he always been since "Every Single Weekend"...Kam comes from that true skool so he can't make clown music just to sell records... He knows his real people in the streets & hardcore fans wouldn't respect it comin from that man anyways

...and y'all got to let that perspective go. That's the same chit that killed the game - rappers thinkin'
all the power is with the labels, but the labels don't rap. They can't do chit without the music.

Word to 40 - "if nobody won't sign you, YOU sign you"...the difference is that 40 will drop double the albums
in 2 years than Kam has dropped in 20.
