This time around, I chose a few films from my collection that have a few more recognizable people. A lot of times, fans of mainstream films are a bit hesitant to watch a film with no one they've ever heard of.
Another Earth - stars Brit Marling from the more than entertaining 'The East'. I believe she's an up and coming star if she continues to pick the right roles.
Biutiful - stars Javier Bardem in a role that I believe he was born to perform. A wonderful mix of different cultures and languages in a tragic and touching tale.
Upstream Color - From the writer/director of Primer. I can't begin to describe this film. You should just do yourself a favor and watch it.
Like Someone In Love - Japanese relationship drama about unexpected friends. A slow burn film with some of the most beautiful, yet simple shots I've ever seen in a film.
Jack Goes Boating - I believe this is Hoffman's sole directorial effort. A great relationship, character piece that really explores the everyday happenings of people just like you and I.
