I've made this thread already, but I'm disgusted at the cheerleading that still goes on for one side or the other.

Dems and repubs have sold out a long time ago. Either we pretend america is a business or we vote for something different....and it's not coming from obama, bush, clinton, hilary, christie, rubio, or whoever they're going to run in 2016.

I'm going to just going to copy what I said in the other thread.....

both parties have more in common then they realize. both sides are for warrantless spying, the wars, the drug wars, the patriot act, abolishing habeaus corpus, offshoring jobs and a police state.

fukk this guy:
"The fact that I support this bill as a whole does not mean I agree with everything in it. In particular, I have signed this bill despite having serious reservations with certain provisions that regulate the detention, interrogation, and prosecution of suspected terrorists (by this he means detaining americans indefinitely). -OBAMA

you have no right to complain if you vote for these clowns. If you want to say america is a business vote for the 2 major parties next presidential election. otherwise don't bytch about the minimum wage at mcdonalds.

Not that I disagree, but there clearly needs to be "unified" front that insist on "change". Otherwise this movement will fall victim to the same trappings which hindered OWS.

OWS was certainly unique in theory, but the representatives came off completely link unpolished nut jobs( think rachel jeantel)

OWS was certainly unique. but we need different parties and it's not going to happen. they're too entrenched.

everyone gets distracted by bullshyt.

I hear people on this board say they voted for obama because he's black and he's no different from bush.

Mos def, I'm a fan of diversity. Life in essence thrives off of "biodiversity"

But nothing will come of anything without the adequate financial backing needed to organically grow these movements.

And heck yeah I voted for Obama, instead of romney. I just couldn't get down with the rethug platform, especially after jerkoff romney made a comment about only caring about the 47%. Seeing the racist "tea party" and their entities being supported by the koch brothers, and following the unscientific ways of people talking against global warming...

see I know what you're saying. But I don't think a romney presidency would of been any different from an obama presidency. How has it changed from Bush to Obama? that's my point.

and the tea party is pushing the republicans way too far right I agree.

edit: see how we now censor this board.
dawgs there's an option for the censorship...

Honestly I was hoping for a third party to use this momentum to raise up, in between the 2012-2016 term. The problem is people in washington are too content with status quo, not to mention many politicians are lobbied on both sides of the aisle. Everything major problem moving forward, will be met as an uphill battle, as long as "citizen united"(uncapped private funding) stays on the books...

Mos def, trying to change anything else is kind of pointless, until this problem is addressed. Unless some billionaires mysteriously gain a change of heart. The presidency of the United State is almost like being the "face" of the world. There's a lot at stake, with numerous interest in mind...

Lowkey, I think :obama: is cool cat, but politics is bit more complex then what meets the eye. There's "probably" a continuous number of backroom deals, which the general public would never be able to fully understand...

I'm with you, I voted for :obama: as well. And hell, I should of voted for Romney who would of been an ally of my industry. But Obama hasn't changed shyt either. So it didn't matter. He's the same. these dodd frank rules haven't passed and if they have I haven't noticed it.

I think obama is a good guy and has the lower/middle class in his heart, but he has to play the corporate game

helll I'm not even saying that, lets go straight up socialism. and as much money as you say you make you should like the republicans.

I wouldn't mind. I'm going to get mine regardless. The wealth inequality in Sweden is probably worse than America, frankly. I'm as far left as it gets.
I do have issues with a lot of bureaucracies at the state and local level and the endless amounts of regulations and laws. I would strip states of many of their powers if I had things my way. Both parties hurt me for different reasons and in different aspects of my life. Obama has done pretty well by me in terms of taxes etc obviously. The last good thing the Republicans have done for me was raise the death tax/estate tax. It's been raised again since then if I remember correctly. Republican policies in general are bogus and have more negative consequences than advantages. As far as social issues, scratch that, generally I wish there were a holocaust of their supporters.
