Mitch ain't starting another game until he gets traded to another team this offseason
Never said he was starting, but KAT and Gobert went to the WCF as a duo. You don’t see the logic of KAT and Mitch trying to replicate that. I would even argue since they told he lost weight to be more mobile he might be a better fit next to KAT.

If mitch does get his starting spot back and thats a big if. Naturally hart is the one going back to the bench. Don’t forget he has been a 6th man his whole career.

He even came off the bench for us until the injuries piled up last season, and going into this season.

KAT is the big question, are the knicks better with him at the 4 with Mitch or the 5 with OG and Hart

Lol so yeah, can't be worse. I assume it's a wash contracts-wise too
Yeah, it's the exact same. Though, New York got 2 million dollars cash in the deal, and I'm not sure if there's any implications there. I could imagine a world where Brock Aller got the cash considerations so that no one complains when he adds a Waiver Wire player...unfortunately, the best option so far, Torrey Craig, got scooped up by Boston.

In a couple years span, there were three Euro-Guards that caught my attention. Rokas Jokubaitis, Matteo Spagnolo, and Hugo Besson all had signs of NBA talent in their games. Ironically, I had it as Rokas > Spagnolo >> Besson; but a big part of that was because Besson played in the weakest league of the trio at the time.

Fast forward to today, and Rokas and Spagnolo's developments seem stagnant. Besson's skills haven't exactly exploded either, but his game has matured with age. I don't know that he'll ever crack an NBA roster, but he's actually a good pro overseas and at least worth keeping an eye on.

Also, Besson had the best size of the trio by far.

What happened to Rokas, they not bringing him over anymore?

What happened to Rokas, they not bringing him over anymore?
The long version:
He played for Barcelona, got into a starting role, and won the rising star of the year right of we drafted him. His career looked promising at Barca, but they brought back Ricky Rubio who's beloved over there. Ricky ate into Rokas' minutes and touches, and Rokas' development went stagnant outside of his shooting improving incrementally.

So, Rokas' contract expired with Barca this past offseason, and he came over for Summer League. But he looked roughly the same as last time, and the Knicks' have a PG logjam as it is. He decided to sign with Maccabi Tel Aviv, a good team but not as good as Barcelona. That contract is for three years, which probably means we'll never see him in the NBA, or not for a few years at minimum.

Short version:
Barcelona cut his minutes, his development and the value of his draft rights tanked, and he re-signed a long-term contract overseas. So, he doesn't have much value and won't be an option to bring over for the next couple of years. He'll be fun to watch in FIBA games, but that's probably it.

lol the expectations to add something substantial is unrealistic
we made 3 big trades in the last 400-ish days.
all these other teams have done none of the sort....we jumped the gun 3 days before training camp
we need one or two more transactional cycle to be straight up title contenders. we just happen be talented enough to compete at high level.
we waited through rj barrett developmental cycles and shyt...yal can hold up a lil longer.
