Also to be fair, Rookie Year Patrick showed way more upside than he has since the wrist and foot injury. It's not like he showed nothing earlier on.

It's mind boggling how the Bulls are top 5 in pace this season, getting to more 3s than ever, no ball stoppers and this dude still isn't getting up more shots

It makes no sense

it's because he's got a release slower than molasses and he's terrible at finishing around the rim these days.

Giddey might go down as the greatest empty stat player in NBA history. That's a hell of an achievement to be listed with those guys... but it's irrelevant if he looks like he did vs OKC a few games ago in a Playoff series

You held out hope for P will never be good for like half a decade and you can't give Kiddey his flowers for being in rare air this season.

it would almost be a benefit for Josh to have a nice play in game in a loss & avoid a playoff series where his success story could potentially go a bit south

I’m conflicted on him still because it seems like there is ceiling with him as your lead ball handler but if he doesn’t have the ball, he loses value. It’s a bit of a catch 22

He’s playing really well though, there is no denying that. I just question the ceiling this team can have with him in his highest value role. You would need to add a very dynamic front court piece?

Patrick is an anomaly. His regression needs to be studied. Me holding out hope for him improving from a 10PPG guy to a 15/16PPG guy isn't as outlandish as thinking you can build a title contending team around Josh Giddey

That's my sentiment.

For the Bulls however, despite how well he's playing, they can still squeeze him in negotiations if he looks flawed in a Playoff series.

Bulls definitely need to add depth and young talent at the 4 and 5. I see Matas as a 3 moving forward. Bulls will be huge with their current back court, Matas, and more size at those positions. I think Newell in this draft is a great fit, just hope he's there when we are picking
