and apparently woodley will never get a rematch if he was to take a L Dana did similar shyt to Stipe, in favor of Ngannou.
Dana got mad when Jon Jones didn't wanna fight Chael on 8 DAYS NOTICE when Hendo had to pull out. The same Chael who had already gotten stopped TWICE a weight class below LHW. 1 of those stoppages occuring just 2 months prior.
Dana hated on Fitch FOR YEARS when Fitch was in his prime and nobody could beat him but GEORGE FUKKING ST. PIERRE.
Dana use to hate on Anderson b/c he had 3 performances that weren't perfect....even claimed Anderson might be put on the prelims.....AS THE fukkING MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD THAT WAS ALSO THE NO.1 P4P FIGHTER IN MMA!!!!!!
Dana hates fighters that try to take control of their own careers...he wants fighters to just be "YESSUHBAWSE" types.
As an MMA fan, if they can find a suitable replacement for Dana, I'm all for it.

antennas go up is when Ultimate Fighter has their season premiere episodes where the guys have to fight their way into the house.....alot of times(like Khalil Rountree's fight), they'll put 2 black guys against each other....which automatically results in less black ppl on the show. Woodley's coach kinda confirmed some of this earlier in the day with Luke Thomas. Din Thomas was saying Woodley knew he couldnt lose and that if he did he would never get a title shot again. Don't understand how Din be following Dana White around on that Looking For A Fight Show but then again a lot of these MMA nikkas come off as weirdos.

i recall that evening of the UFC fight i was at BWW (buffolo wild wings) burning some time in brooklyn before the boxing main event at Barclays..the promos leading up to the bout were definitly pro-Till.....
woodley wasnt seen in the best of light in my opinion...
sounds like Woodley is a "brother" who knows his self worth and ain't gonna let Dana punk him out...
and Dana being the control freak he is...can't stand it..
so it's a mix of ego and race....
further convuluted by the fact the majority of UFC's fanbase is right wing white guys...which UFC targets

Dont get this narrative that woodley cant be controlled or because he knows his self worth thats why dana hates him, huh?

He can have an opinion of his worth and display it by saying I think I deserve a match with gsp, bisbing and diaz all he wants, dana can simply say no, you dont deserve it for being a boring fighter and thats the end of it. He has no bargaining power to be a thorn in dana's side, dana can maltreat him (which he has) and there will be no uproar. It is someone like ariel hewani who fans will be vocal about that he is weary of (tho with the espn gig hes kind of played chess and eliminated the only mma journalist that spoke truth to power)
As far as fighters go gsp is someone who knows his worth, cant be controlled and has made a fool of dana twice now but then again gsp brings in a buck load of cash woodley does not. So you have a fighter that fights smart, the fans boo out of the building, does not draw and is calling the ufc racist? hes a nuisance thats worthless to dana more than anything
as for this thread, I dont doubt woodley has his detractors in the ufc building, the stuff with promoting marquart on fightpass by showing him knocking out woodley (when hes your champ) was egregious. But i dont like the messenger, his body language and delivery said liar to me but that just me..

Where does this narrative come from that Woodley is a boring fighter? He's finished more fights than he has won via decision. He's typically the more aggressive fighter. I would rather people just be honest and say they don't like him than lie and say he's boring.

I don’t remember if he was being called boring before but I definitely think that the wonder boy Thompson fights helped that image of hm. It wasn’t his fault though they’re both counter fighters and both were cautious.

ever since the ufc got big after tuff season one you can see how much of a bully he has become.
