can we get a thread about supplements that we can take that are proven to help us lose body fat as we work out? ive posted here and there about the following:

Green tea extract
L-carnitine
CLA

anyone got some pros/cons about using those or any others that can help us lower the body fat % in addition to working out, increase intensity and calorie deficit etc?

nothing out there is going to make weight loss "happen"

it just might make it more manageable/easier

EC Stack
yohimbine
caffeine alone
apple cider vinegar

everything else is over priced and/or provides little to no added function :manny:

the E part = ephedrine which comes in either sulfate or hcl

bronkaid which can be bought from a pharmacist is the most common

caffeine is any generic caffeine

total price for a both is about 15 dollars :manny:

real talk tho, none of things you buy will matter if you dont get your diet right

i unsuccessfully tried to get in shape for years after i stopped wrestling, did the gamut

running and various cardio, started lifting etc. I continued to put on weight. The minute i counted calories i dropped weight. Even EC stack...its just an appetite suppressant and slightly aids in muscle soreness/recovery...at best it burns 100 cals with a full dosage :manny:

and thats the strongest one out there outside of prohormones

good looks. i feel you. i thought it was a powder type shyt. trying to get the diet on point. i feel im at a good 70% at what i should be diet wise just hard for me to get to the gym more than 2x a week. i think if i could consistently go 3x a week i'd see more results. i did come down from over 200 to 170 (5'8) so results are happening just want them abs breh u feel me? single digit cake.:jawalrus:

for what its worth, in my now 70 pound weight loss

for the first 40, i went to the gym twice a week :manny:

at the end of the day, diet influences weightloss about 95% and your workout maybe 5%

a deficit is a deficit. What youre losing weight wise(fat or muscle) is dependent on lifting

knowing that now, i would have gone atleast 3 days a week and possibly preserved more muscle(im certain on the 70 pounds 10-15 probably were muscle mass)

since i started hardbody to change my body for the better i mostly went 2 x a week. only done 3x a cpl weeks. im working on the deficit, i did that number joint you posted in your thread but the calorie maintence was higher than what i been going by. been going with a 1690 cal limit i got off the my fitness life app vs the 2K plus maint llimit minus 500 cal which was like 1940. i closed the windows so pardon my innacurate numbers but basically i been working wit a lower deficit from what i would assume is a less accurate program for a long time. last couple of weeks i been doings more weights ans going higher with lower reps vs high # of reps at lower weight since i started. also used to do alot more cardio, hour each session on the elliptical on high resistance. now i do alot of walking on the e-mill at a clip with the incline as high as i can get it. not sure how much fat vs muscle i lost. but overall i came down in weight. just trying to lower my overall bodyfat now. about a month ago i got my fat % checked i was at 18.5. gotta get it checked again.

wait how tall are you/how much do you weigh

that calculator is VERY accurate, and i used extreme sedentary numbers so its implying you do a desk job at best

theres no way those numbers will come out "too high"

i got roughly 2300 maintenance

so based on my guide that would be a deficit of 1500-1800 :dwillhuh:

how did you get higher numbers, anything lower than that would be damn near starvation

i didnt say i was good at math breh:lolbron:

the other program said i had to stay under 1620 if i wanted to get to the 160 lb range. 2300 minus 500 is 1800 no? the other program had me towards the starvation limit of the more accurate one. 1620 is closer to 1500 and alot of times i'd be under that around the 1300-1400 range.

in my guide the deficit range is between 500-800

500 x 7 = 3500 cals in a lb of fat aka 1lb fat lost per week

800 x 7 = 5600 cals aka 1.6lb fat loss per week

considering most people do expend more than the "registered" maintenance

the average losses per week end up being between 1-3lbs a week

spent alot of time on that guide :win:
