Sober Poster
A few Coli members on Twitter asked me to take my weekly breakdown to the forums so here goes;
every week (around Wednesday) I receive official numbers for the Top 200, Genre, and Digital charts and I report on the Hip Hop/Rap numbers +/- and as a added bonus I'll even attach the charts to my posts.
Top 200: Sales slightly up this week as a whole. Adele is the #1 album. she's creeping on 10million.
KRIT -- highest hip hop debut. #4, 41,103k in first week
Curren$y #8 -- 36k first week. Give or take about normal for him. I expect a drop off next week.
Nicki -- 13k this week - 521,544k sold total. She's gold finally, and if she can push numbers consistent like this she will be plat by Fall.
Drake -- Take Care is one of the few holdovers from 2011 still in the top 50/top 100 as far as Hip Hop/Rap goes. 8k this week, 1.7 million sold total.
B.O.B. - fell from 34 to 47. 8k this week, 148k total. he probably wont sniff Gold this time around.
Tyga jumps from 90-74 this week. 5k on the week, 243 total
Travis Porter had a massive drop from #16 -> #76. 5k this week, 19k total. Not good.
Future "Pluto" crossed 100k this week.(4k sold) For an album with absolutely no promotion Future is doing well.
Watch The Throne is more than likely going to bow out at 1.4million sold, as it makes a small increase from #124 -> #118. Around the same domestic total as MBDTF.
Carter IV is still hanging around and will also most likely bow out at around 2.1million domestic. I still think it would have benefitted from a "She Will" visual.
(#138) TM103 -- 3k sold. 601k total.
Digital:
The Summer Jam fiasco hasnt effected Nicki Minaj much as Starships sold another 119k this week. 2.8mil sold and a big possibility of being 3mil sold by next week. Beez In The Trap had a small fall to #56 but is nearing GOLD @ 361k sold total.
If there was any doubt that Lil' Wayne's name alone can carry a largely middle of the road street single; "My Homies Still" debuted on Digital at #13 with 103k sold
Waka + Nicki + Tyga + Flo-Rida "Get Low" debuts at #26 with 68k sold. Flocka's highest charting single this year and with good reason considering who is on it.
Wiz "Work Hard" is gold -- Not the runaway success that "Black & Yellow" and "Roll Up" but another plaque is another plaque. 78k this week. 508k total.
GOOD Music "Mercy" -- seems stuck in the 20's (#25 this week) but never the less is nearing platinum status. 71k sold this week. 822k total
Drake "The Motto" -- Shaping up to be his biggest single ever. 43k this week 2.3 mil total. "Take Care" (single) is also nearing 2x plat as it reaches 1.9 mil this week.
Cash Out "Cashin Out" (#45 digital) -- White people love it. so expect to see it on digital for a while. 39k this week. 303k total
Rick Ross "Sophisticated" debuted at #50 -- 37k sold.
2Chainz "No Lie" continues falling from #59 - #67. That video needs to drop. Now. 29k this week, 233k total.
