WSJ has been crushing the buildings since 1968. Go ahead and vote for your personal GOAT series and drop your top 5 in the comments.

Shout-outs to Fullmetal Alchemist and Berserk, two dope series that are NOT serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. FMA was serialized in Square Enix's Monthly Shōnen Gangan, and Berserk is intermittently published in Young Animal.

I wanted to add more poll options, though :mjcry:

anyways I choose One Piece and given its success, accolades, etc. OP will undoubtedly and almost objectively be the GOAT WSJ series:manny:

I voted DB/Z and Hunter x Hunter. DB/Z was the unbiased, full resume, impact as well as quality choice. Hunter x Hunter was the straight up preference and in my opinion best one.

1 HxH
2. Yu Yu Hakusho
3. DB/Z
4. Rurouni Kenshin
5. Naruto
HM:
Death Note
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

I still have yet to read or watch One Piece.

Top 5
1)Dragonball Saga
2)Bleach (Could’ve been first if it wasn’t for all the Fillers)
3)My hero academia
4)Death Note
5)Naruto ( Feel like it’s overrated but you can’t deny it’s impact).

Hmm.

For me, I would rank them as follows...

1. One Piece (One Piece is criminally slept on in the West. It has GOAT storytelling and worldbuilding, it's funny, emotional, adventurous, etc.)
2. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (It certainly lives up to it's name!)
3. Hunter x Hunter
4. Yu Yu Hakusho
5. DB/Z (It's flawed, but you gotta give it respect for being the first series of it's kind.)

HM:
- Case Closed/Detective Conan (Very cleverly written with a great premise. I haven't watched or read it in a hot minute though.)
- Rurouni Kenshin (It had a dope setting, interesting historical references, and hype fights.)
- Death Note (The first half is goatworthy, the second half was only okay.)
- Naruto (Storywise, the series fell off HARD with Shippuden IMO. The fights are still fire though, and you can't deny it's impact as a whole.)
- Slam Dunk (Sakuragi :mjlol: I never finished this series though)

I never got way into Bleach. I liked the first couple of arcs well enough, but after the Soul Society storyline ended, I lost interest.

1. One Piece (the world building, character development, and storytelling is on another level)

2. My Hero Academia

3. DB/DBZ ( first introduction into manga)

4. Katekyo Hitman Reborn ( realy fun spin on mafia/yakuza culture. Doesn't get enough recognition)

5. Naruto (only the first half)

Honorable mentions : Beelzebub and Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (just for pure fukkery)
Kinnikuman (shyts a classic)

One Piece. Although it never made as much cultural impact in the west as other Shounen Jump series, it is by far the best. The world building, continuity and callbacks in the series are on a level that quite possibly no other writer ever has been able to match.
