901Cory - I felt like the drums and sample didn't mesh together well. I guess it's cause the drums are boom bap but the competition is trap? If this were a boom bap contest I would have given it to you tho. I like the pianos.
Norman - Good trap beat. I like it. I think the mixdown could use some work (Im not on headphones atm, so I could be wrong), but other than that. I dig it.

Both nice beats. As Knox mentioned above, Norman, dope melody and drums but the mix can use some cleaning. Cory's beat is Trap and dope af IMO. Melody is super nice... That's how i started my Trap beat this round, Simple Kick and Snare than added all the other elements. Wished the beat was longer. Voted Cory.
@901Cory10 I'm torn here because I like this beat is west coast. I feel beat battles should be about who has the better beat so I would personally give you the vote here. If we are sticking to themes however.
@NormanConnors Beat was structured nicely, although I felt that some of the sounds didn't go with the instrumentation in terms of mixing. I'm conflicted because if we are voting on the better presentation I would vote one way, but if we are voting on the actual theme, I would vote another. For that reason I can't vote on this contest. 10 times out of 10 I will always chose the beat I believe to be better unless the quality of sound is up there and the theme was followed.
So for that reason I abstain from voting on this battle.
