Website help/ideas etc?

So I started Flight401.net April 1st as a test pilot blog. I just used WordPress.com to host it, didn't wanna spend real money until I knew it was good to go and didn't flop . I'm just gonna keep the domain and host it over at WordPress.org do it all myself. But does anyone have anything I could do better/fix or add? Maybe some ideas for it.. I'm trying to make it as best as I can. If you'd wanna help out and post that'd be dope too just leave your email here.. the websites everything. Music/News/Videos/Trolling etc.

I just looked at the site and can tell you have an idea of what you want to do, but there's absolutely nothing on the website that would make me want to come back to it. I'm no expert, but you have to have something that separates your site from the rest. Something as simple as some flowing colors can do that. You need a lot more structure

Word fam. I get what your saying anything in specific? I try to post mainly hip-hop and sports. I definitely need to fix the theme and organization.. just a starter. Blogs only 2 weeks old

You need something to separate the different articles, I cant tell when one article stops and another begins. As well as dividers for the different sections of the page. The middle is where the articles go so separate from those side bars

First off Posting hiphop/sports imo will be time consuming as hell because if your a busy person everyone will get the news up before you. (Ive tried it with a team of 3 and couldn't keep up) Basically id stay away from that. Only thing with sports I can suggest that is fantasy sport information information....don't get me wrong, there's different ways to do it but at the same time, unless your a great writer, there's better places people can go to get info. (I.e. espn)...

Reword that dawg what do u mean u can't tell when one article stops and another begins. On the homepage its a featured image and excerpt? U gotta click on it to read?

Well I'm gonna move the domain to bluehost and build a theme myself. Hosting the domain on WordPress.com was temporary for a bit. Just wanted to test run it for now. Thanks for the links/examples fam. Really do appreciate the help

right, but what he was trying to stress was original content. you can watch the video anywhere, what is going to make your site have users come back and not go elsewhere for the content?

You need an angle or niche if you want this to really grow. Provide something that no other site provides, which usually takes professional designers/developers. If you are really serious about it I would say to hire an agency.

Basically I mean you need better borders (or in some cases borders period) around the different parts on the page.

For example this is a somewhat similar site to yours. theCHIVE - Funny Photos and Funny Videos – Keep Calm and Chive On . You see there's the green background and then everything is separated on its own white background. And there's green space between different sections of the page. On your page everything is just bleeding into each other and it's an eye sore
