depends on how much money you give them. if you are just an "ideas guy", then they dont need you
With that mindset they will always be an employee and with this opportunity there is a strong possibility of generational wealth creation

Shame

I've seen (and heard) people with some of the most beautiful voices bestowed upon God's green Earth, roll out red carpets for me (with my subtle speech impediments) because I can write songs that turn heads and move rooms

Having a great voice is of no comparable value to a great song

I'm a self-employed software engineer.

If you just have an idea, no matter how good it is, theres nothing stopping me from taking your idea and doing it myself

If you're not bringing tangibles, then realistically they dont need you, then can take your idea and do it themselves

You either have to bring money, or some kind of connections/access that they dont have themselves

Go and look on websites where people are looking for co-founders. the majority of people looking are non-technical co-founders, looking for technical co-founders.

Any potential technical co-founder you will find, will have way more options than you do. So you are going to have to offer something other than just ideas

With that mindset they will always be an employee and with this opportunity there is a strong possibility of generational wealth creation

Its 2024 and companies around the country laying off software engineers left and right.

Chances are whatever “idea” you have has already been tried and failed. Not trying to put you down but it’s reality.

Try to get some kind of proof of concept or traction going before you go all in.

What are you looking for exactly? Do you have capital or a network of investors? How many lawyers do you know to ensure patents and copyrights are protected? What's the game plan?

It's a social network idea. We build the model, we build the value. We then sell that value to find investors

I have USPTO experience of my own so trademarks, patents and copyrights - we got that on lock :youngsabo:
