Solid post. Have no idea why people use cd's. I'd much rather take the risk and invest in securities than accept that 0.00000009% interest rate.

I would hope people know this, at the same time banks are good for holding money for the moment, do keep an eye on what is going on in America.

Like what @DrX says in some of his posts, you need to be eating and sleeping economics so that you follow the trend of the economy and have money or other money equivalents on the side for if banks go belly up.

This is a misleading title. Of course they use banks, they just don't use them to create wealth.
