WCW was gonna fold regardless, God himself couldn't stop that ship from sinking much less HBK. Y'all think Turner was gonna let shyt like he did in DX fly on TNT. :stopitslime:

WCW was destined to go under anyway. With the messed up booking, the non push of their younger wrestlers and their continued use of the same old wrestlers over and over again.

Had they moved their upper mid carders (B*****, Eddie, Jericho, Mysterio etc) along upwards sooner and while using the name value of some of their established names (Hogan, Sting, Savage, Flair, Nash) to do so and had a payoff/restructuring of the nWo we'd likely be talking different scenarios. WCW had an incredible roster in 98 so them imploding was self inflicted

actually this would have been awesome...you lead up to some differences between Hogan Hall and Nash where they start doing real evil stuff...and you start to see Hogan back off a bit like hey bro...this is kind of taking it too far and you build it up to where shawn michaels comes in on an NWO beatdown on Hogan

Hogan could have been kind of sting like teasing his comeback and he could have stole a little attitude from Austin going nuts on everyone...and obviously in war you need numbers so using eddie benoit jherico booker t he forms a face group to build up the newer talent. The NWO angle needed to finish...like a comic book storyline it needed to have a payoff...and be used to build up new talent

Hogan would have been the ultimate face for this ...then he kind of could have rode into the sunset after defeating the NWO he formed and opened the door for Goldberg...maybe go back to wwe to get his hall of fame nostalgia run a little earlier... and not start a reality show that ruins his family as well...reality shows are demonic...sometimes the less people know about your personal life the better for your image...unless your Tim Tebow or Mother Theresa don't expose the world to your human flaws

This man get's it. Hogan turning back face to lead WCW to defeat the NWO would've been perfect and it would've been bigger then anything Austin was doing. HBK was the PERFECT guy to be the new leader of the NWO. HBK vs Bret would've been bigger then Austin vs The Rock.

Don't get how him signing would have mattered since he would have retired (wrestling wise) temporarily anyway.

As cool as it sounds, i'm glad things worked out how they did. Bret was a star when he came to WCW and he was misused so badly it should be put in the history books. Now HBGOAT would have had his #Kliq connects to get to the top quickly but I still don't want him on the WCW roster when unfiltered Russo takes over. HBK would have been fully grey by 2002 after having to carry norman smiley and vampiro. :to:
