My hearing kind of bad, so I throw it on for most movies,but I feel like I'm looking at the text more than I am the movie. If that's the case I might as well be reading a book.

I'm OCD with this shyt. I stay rewinding shows/movies that don't have subtitles. Why do actors be mumbling with their delivery? Or why is the soundmix fukked up? The action is loud but the dialogue is super low. Maybe it's just me. Sometimes it's just that I can't understand actors that have accents. But yeah, subtitles are a must.

Everythin I can, I watch wit subtitles on breh.... When I buy my Martial Arts movies, I buy ones that dont have English subtitles cause they never translated em... English dubs be making dudes sound bytch made, watch Ninja Scroll, Jubei voice ruined it for me....

Not just you... I got a movie where they start whispering shyt but the music picks up... you get how it ends but you'll never understand why... dude kills everybody but one chick & he felt a bond but when he explains it you can't hear his reason cause he mumbling & whispering in her ear over some loud ass love music.... then she unleashes her inner killer.. you know what's going on but don't know why exactly...

I'll only turn them on if someone whispers. I'll go back, rewind and turn them on. I won't turn my volume up because the next scene will probably be a car explosion or something

Since English isn't my first language, always. And I don't mean Dutch subs, so much stuff gets lost in translation that it's painful so even if I download a movie I pick English over Dutch subs.

I used to when I was younger. If it was a movie I really liked, the next couple times I would watch it I'd put the subtitles on.

I don't do it much anymore, and definitely not for first time viewings. It's not because I pay more attention to the words, either.
