In the 2021 draft, the Dolphins took Jaylen Waddle 6th overall.

Was that a mistake? Or have the Dolphins failed to get the most out of him?

7th - Penei Sewell
8th - Jaycee Horn
9th - Patrick Surtain II

Zero catches for Jaylen Waddle today.
10 mins left in the 4th vs Buffalo.

Except for Week 1, he hasn't broken 46 receiving yards in a game.

Pathetic.

Sure enough...
Waddle catches a game tying TD.

I'm still not impressed

letting guys like Van Ginkel leave just blow my mind. a glue guy who makes plays, and wasnt expensive to keep. nah, lets bring back one legged Ogbah and draft a kid who had 4 sacks in the first round

little things like that, multiplied a few times over is why you get results like this.

the past 2-3 years they were at least fun to watch, even if you knew they'd shyt the bed vs. better comp. this group is just painful to watch

a dub's a dub, never mad at that, but this team is on track for a 7-9 or 8-8 finish (eternal optimist here)
The Grier shyt train will just keep rollin...

I ain’t gonna front I’m depressed about this team's future. My anxiety wilding out anticipating the following:
  • Feels like Tua may be one hit away from having to retire at any point. SHould we draft a 2nd round QB now just in case?
  • Grier probably on his way out after this season
  • Mike McDaniel won’t get the chance to redeem himself under a new GM
  • Tyreek will probably want out if we continue to struggle
All this adds up to a total rebuild tho not quite as bad as the previous one

Teams have us figured out :hubie: The only way to truly get back to being an explosive offense again is Win in the trenches.

Tua's quick release is masking how bad this o-line is. We cannot run the ball inside at all. A reliable third reciever is severely needed. A lot of draft picks the past two years have been horrible
