Why does the talk always center around tua? This L isn't on him. A muff punt gift wraps GB 7 after the d gives a you a three and out. I knew the game was over after that muff. From then it all snowballed.
The first offensive drive of the night starts false start and then you have unsportsmanlike penalty which makes it 3rd and forever in those conditions. The whole team looked unprepared and ready to get out of the cold.
Tua did miss a few throws last night especially during the 2 min drill. He looked much better in the second half. But that essentially means he has to play perfect for the team to win. That's unrealistic. This team is too Tua reliant and we've seen he's not good enough to carry a team consistently when the other units are playing poorly.
Tua has limitations and he has played poorly in big games. But last night can't be put solely on him, if at all. He easily was the best player for miami. He's was good. Just not good enough.
The real problem is that Chris Grier has constructed an expensive, old and injury prone team that relies on finnesse. That does not translate well into winter/playoff football. We see it play out every season.
The o line is atrocious. Tua makes them look better than they really are with his quick release. They got pushed around regularly and create very little running lanes. On a night when you needed your run game to survive because of the elements they played poorly.
The d line got bullied, they were gashed in the run game and missed 20(yes 20) fukking tackles. Very little to no pressure generated.
The secondary is banged up and the young fellas (duck and smith) constantly get picked on. Atleast Ramsey is having an all pro year.
Special teams was awful once again but that's been normal for like two seasons. Fire Crossman pls
The team is constructed too soft and it's too reliant on finesse. Mike McDaniel gets too cute way too much. This team as it is currently constructed is stuck in a mediocrity timeloop hell. They'll never be truly bad but they'll never be truly good.
