We say black people are undercounted in the census but are whites overcounted?

Officially, non-Hispanic whites are 60% of the population but that includes Middle Easterners and North Africans (which I disagree personally). I just feel like the census is a little screwed with.

I have a friend who works for the Census and after hearing how dysfunctional the job sounds I can believe that those numbers aren't even close to correct.

Alot of hispanics who are black/clearly have strong black ancestry also write themselves down as white on the census

Yes the census is bullshyt really. It's only around to justify the system to be the way it is. The truth is they don't know how much people are inside this country and plus race and gender are social constructs so you have people defining themselves to be whatever they think it is though that may not even be the case.
