He couldn't be penalized for the helmet-to-helmet hit because Pierre was technically a runner during the play, not a defenseless receiver (although he acquired the ball via a pass).
:manny: so it was within the rules. Ronnie Lott took nikkas heads off routinely :manny:
Brooks got a flag for tackling Drew by his shoulder :beli:

That's why I said skirting the rules.

Intentionally giving helmet-to-helmet shots by finding a loophole in the rules :smh:

And the Saints are the "dirty cheaters" :stopitslime:

Brooks got a flag for tackling Drew by his shoulder :beli:

Can't bring your arm up around a Quarterback's neck, that's the rules

And as a 49ers fan, you shouldn't take issue with quesionable calls, considering y'all stayed getting away with shyt in the 80's-90's.

anyway, this is pointless. all I was saying is that 49ers hating saints for some reason is nonsense.

we hate the cowgirls, even giants, seahawks (post realignment beef), packers (nineties beef) and many other teams
saints we regularly beat on :manny: nothing to hate about the saints at all

2011 was not the 80's, pleighboi. :birdman:

Exactly.

Worry about your 49ers, and let us worry about our Saints. :stopitslime:

@NOSaintsFan02 @taker597 Is that stuff about Kamara on Saints Report true, or is it some chatty-patty talk? :lupe:
I don’t know. Some posters on SR been annoying AF lately. Finding any and everything they can to bytch about. The loss Sunday got them emotional AF.

The board has been harsh on AK all season long. They have insane expectations for him. I recognize AK regressed this season, but many are being emotional and saying trade him and he’s replaceable as if AKs are easy to find. So the stripper thing may be legit, but it may be them finding another thing they can latch to in their never ending quest to find reasons to cope with why we didn’t win a super bowl this season.

I know BSO been “reporting” all season about AK dating the stripper but having it where she can’t post anything about them. So this stuff that she has him by the finger seems opposite of the other gossip blogs have reported throughout the year.

Lowkey, the Saints have painted themselves into a corner by trying to eek out another Super Bowl win in Brees's final years. :francis:

EVERYONE knows what moves they have to make to achieve that, yet they continue with the status quo, hoping things will be different the next time around. :snoop:

And the homers/Stans wanna look at some fans as being "spoiled" and "ungrateful" over the Saints' postseason disappointments, when it is THE TEAM who placed themselves in that "Super Bowl or Bust" mindstate for Brees. :stopitslime:

As I have said to @Inertia Creeps not long ago, the Saints want it one way, but it's the other way.

What move is that?

I don't want to sound like a Brees apologist but I still believe he can lead us to a Super Bowl. HOWEVER, we gotta start running the ball more AND we gotta get a WR who can make things happen with the ball on short completions. Our days of slinging the rock up and down the field are over...that's KC's thing now. But there are ways to win in this league without needing to throw the ball all over the field.

This team had every reason to try and win it all while Drew still has good football left. I'm not mad at Payton for 2017 or 2018. 2017 I feel Philly had the juice and 2018 we got screwed. That Super Bowl was ours in 2018. But 2019 (and 2011) he deserves heat...too much talent on those teams to not at least even make the NFC Championship Game.

Fixed.

We all know the moves, breh :francis:

  • A true #2 WR opposite Mike. Enough of these UDFA-level scrubs. :camby:
  • An effective slot WR. :pacspit: them holding on to Carr
  • Demario aside, quick/fast/athletic LBs to cover TEs and RBs out of the backfield. KLein and Robertson :old:
  • A true #2 CB. Years of trotting out Crawley/DeVante Harris/PJ level players :scusthov: Apple is not the answer. :smh: Maybe Jackrabbit can be. :ehh:
  • Improve interior of O-Line. Peat should have been gone, being the last remaining from that disappointing 2015 Draft. :camby: And having bums like CLapp for depth :scust: I really miss 2009-2011 Nicks and Jahri. :mjcry:
And you are correct in the Saints needing to become Run-first.

2009/2011 Brees is no more. He AND Sean P. need to realize that. :smh:

Bonus: And the "Defense" need to stop fukking up in crucial moments.

I like this. It's all easier said than done unfortunately though. Because for every problem we fix, a new one will arise. That's the 'beauty' of sports and what sparks parity.

A legit 2WR is definitely needed. The FO tried to skate by with what we had for two years now and it could have worked in 2018, but this year it was just too apparent to avoid (it did bring us a historic season from MT atleast).

The team always is great with O Line. That may be the best thing of the Payton era tbh, he's never had a bad O Line. Not once. He and the FO know how to find guys.

Jackrabbit can be...but can we afford to keep him? That's the thing with him and all these other signings you are pointing out. Yes, it would all be ideal, but we still also have a lot of guys in house that we need to pay. That's the "drawback" of a great team, the players are going to want to get paid because they obviously are playing at a high level.

To me, our window is "closed" in the sense that we had these 3 years to win atleast one ring while we had all these guys on great deals...the only casualty was Ingram. Now, there's no way we will be able to keep everyone. I expect a lot of turnover this offseason simply because that's the way the league is set up and we have to prioritize the top guys we need to keep and pay.

Our window isn't closed in that we still can't compete for a ring, but with parity and my personal belief that the football gods hate us, it's going to be real tough. And now we are about to lose some of our soldiers along the way.

We need to draft DB and QB in the first 2 rounds.

I'd try to get a good WR in those later rounds.

QB and WR are the only offensive positions I'd draft for. We need another DB who can cover along with Lattimore and hopefully we keep Jenkins, and get another pass rushing end opposite Cam Jordan.

Rankins durability is a concern for me. He's good when he plays, but every year he has a late season injury that knocks him out. Davenport started to flourish as well but got hurt also. I'd get some insurance there for when they have their annual season injury you can at least have a guy to plug in.

I'd give PJ Williams, M. Williams, and Eli Apple their walking papers. Lattimore, Jenkins, Gardner-Johnson, and Vonn Bell are the only defensive backs I'd keep. I don't know who the defensive backs coach is, but fire him. Our DBs have the worse technique and tackling that I've probably seen in the league this year.

Tell Andrus Peat's azz he can kick rocks. Nick Easton and Will Clapp weren't any worse than he was. I'd run with them maybe try to get a lineman in the later rounds or the draft of free agency.

I'd give Brees azz one more year to get the job done while grooming a successor in the wings then I'd set him out to the pastor. Give him a job in management or whatever he wants after he retires. Even though I hate the Patriots one thing I could always give Belichick credit for is he knew how to move on from players even if it was a year or two early as opposed to a year or two to late. Brees light is flickering anytime he throws a pass over 20 yards that shyt looks like a wounded duck. He's still very accurate on short passes though.

I wouldn't overpay Kamara either. He's had nagging injuries, but he hadn't done enough as a feature back to deserve a big pay day at probably the most replaceable position in football. Micheal Thomas, Cam Jordan, and now Ramcyzk are the only guys that have earned their payday.
