That was traumatic to watch and I got beats as a child. No thank you. Children dont respond so much to negative reinforcement. It's just fear of getting caught. But people who are angry in general dont speak they threaten and are mad they have to go through with it.

I'm more disappointed in the teacher. I have made it clear to a number of parents that my classroom is a sanctuary. No belts, switches or any other tools of torture are allowed in my classroom. Furthermore, if I suspect that your child is somewhere getting beaten like THAT, I'm on the phone with child protective services. Teachers are mandatory reporters, and I will not be surprised if that teacher is fired for doing nothing while that beating occurred.
