For those who don't remember, Panama exists because we backed a separatist movement for them to break away from Colombia since we didn't like the terms Colombia wanted to build the Panama Canal.

A high level delegation of Americans including Vance (and Usha), Waltz, and the Energy Secretary are traveling there unsolicited later this week. Polls in Greenland say we are universally unwanted, but a member of Greenland's pro Independence party is getting

Kuno Fencker, a member of Greenland's parliament for the nationalist and strongly pro-independence Naleraq party, which came in second in a March 11 general election, welcomed the visit, saying it was "an honor and a strong signal of respect."

"They are welcome in Greenland," he told Reuters, adding that he had not been in contact with the U.S. administration about the visit.
Brian Hughes, spokesman for the White House National Security Council, said the delegation aimed to "learn about Greenland, its culture, history, and people."

The leader of Naleraq, Pele Broberg, wrote an oped in US News this week saying Denmark must go and he would welcome a "free association" (not territory) association with the US if they get independence.
