The cosmos isn't conscious, every molecule we're made up of is stuff when traced back to the very original source, is a star. We're literally made of the universe, but we're conscious enough to appreciate its existence.

Nah. I've been raised since I was young to appreciate astronomy and the stars.

I think light pollution really dumbs people to the majesty over our heads every night.
