WCW’s failure to develop talent was a classic case of bad booking and short term thinking. Take Chuck Palumbo and Sean O’Haire, for example. They had the look, the athleticism, and potential to be stars, but WCW never gave them the platform to shine.

They were thrown into stables like The Natural Born Thrillers, which had promise but lacked direction. Instead of building them as credible solo acts or giving them meaningful rivalries, WCW relied on chaotic booking and overshadowed them with aging stars

I mean, considering you had like 10 guys holding the company hostage about their spots it’s no wonder. I’m still amazed Goldberg even got through. William Regal did his best to bury him in the ring.
Yeah Goldberg was in right place at right time,
didn’t hurt that WCW needed a homegrown megastar to rival Austin in WWE.

Don't know whose alias OP is, but that was clearly AI written.

Well Mysterio, Guererro, Malenko, Benoit, Konnan and Jericho were already what they were before they got to WCW. Nobody in WCW trained them or developed them into different characters or better promos etc...

Im sure OP is talking about talent like what NXT is doing. The fresh faces that didn’t run the Indy or international scene. Goldberg alone just kills OP’s topic. He became a big star in WCW and helped them keep their head above water during the MNW.

Side note, O’Haire been gone for a decade already. I thought he was gonna shine, especially when he had the enlightenment gimmick in the E. Dude had a clean swanton too.

“I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know” was a good ass quote. RIP. :to:

I feel like they are doing Sean's "devil's advocate" angle with Karrion Kross currently but with the spin of corrupting the babyface in the process turning them heel.
