WB Delays Green Lantern, Pushes Up Godzilla Instead

GREEN LANTERN CORPS Delayed By Warner Bros.; GODZILLA 2 And GODZILLA VS. KONG Get New Release Dates

As if it wasn't already bad enough that Green Lantern is unlikely to appear in either of Zack Snyder's Justice League movies, it has now been revealed that we'll have to wait even longer to see his next solo outing (which may or may not feature a team-up between two or three human Corps members). Originally set to open on June 19th, 2020, we'll now be waiting until July 24th, that same year. That's not a massive delay, but let's face it, an extra month is akin to torture for us comic fans!

With that new date, Green Lantern Corps will open just two weeks after a currently untitled release from Marvel Studios. That's a bold move by Warner Bros., and one they may regret depending on how big the release ends up being. The studio has also confirmed that a currently untitled event film has been pencilled in for December 25th, 2018, and that pits it against a live-action Disney movie, and both Han Solo and the animated Spider-Man feature which open in the weeks leading to that.

Finally, they've also confirmed that Godzilla 2 has now moved from June 8th to March 22nd, 2019, while the planned crossover Godzilla vs. Kong has been dated for May 29th, 2020. Moving the former is a pretty smart move, especially as it will no longer go head to head withTransformers 6. As of right now, Godzila vs. Kong has that date all to itself, though a Marvel movie opens earlier the same month.

anyway, that's whatever, i'm concerned about that Godzilla vs kong movie....I don't think they've thought that through....I say that cause do that not remember how big they made zilla in the last movie?...to make it a fair fight, they'd have to make kong damn near the same size, which is cool...but if they do that, he better never leave skull island cause of some bullshyt like getting captured and showcased in the city cause of some white woman....that shyt aint gonna fly...hell, i don't want zilla and kong fighting no way, i'd rather them team up and fukk up some other monsters....
